Uplevel Your Consciousness Through….Art Supplies?
One of my clients is an artist. She recently upgraded her art supplies, as her old ones were cheap and worn out. She bought new, more expensive brushes and higher quality paints and paper than the ones she had been using. The difference in the art she created with the upgraded supplies amazed her. Here she was… same person, same techniques, same workspace, creating art levels above the art she had been making before.
This story made me think about the quality of consciousness we bring to our lives and interactions. Without effective tools, like communication skills, the ability to recognize our shadow patterns, intact self-esteem, etc., like painting with worn out paintbrushes, our lives will be limited without us even being aware of it.
However, if we upgrade our consciousness and personal resources, like responding thoughtfully rather than reacting, engaging in fun, life-giving activities, or believing in our inherent worthiness, we will enjoy a higher quality of life filled with more meaning, happier relationships and deeper satisfaction overall.
The quality of our inner tools shapes the quality of our lives.
